Because we are now entering our 3rd week of delays in construction (waiting on counter tops) I decided to work on the house by myself. I made the decision to purchase all of the CAT6 and cable outlets for the bedrooms, great room, and kitchen. I hooked up most of the outlets today and they turned out great. For anyone that was interested in how the installation process works , I decided to add a step by step illustration showing how it was done. Hope you enjoy! Our contractor promises granite counter tops by Tuesday (11-17-09). Hopefully this will come true

Yesterday and today we decided to install all of our own CAT-6data / phone cable, Television cable, and surround sound in the house. We placed Surround sound wiring in the great room, master bedroom, and on the rear porch. The CAT-6 was installed in all bedrooms and the kitchen. Tomorrow I will add it in 2 places in the great room. Cable was added in all bedrooms, great room in 2 places and in the master bathroom and rear porch.
