The waiting continues… Building Department Ignorance
Well, our plans were submitted for review on Monday and now starts the clock for a response by the building department. Typically our building department takes forever to review anything. I called on the status of my submission and I was told that they never received anything! I had to spend 15 minutes explaining the entire scenario to the plans examiner. She then told me that there was never a permit issued for my project! Can you believe this? I wonder how this is possible because I paid and picked up my permit from the same lady! It just proves their ignorance.
So, after another 5 minutes of further explanation she then realized that she was crazy and that my plans had been submitted for review. She also told me that she would start the review today. We shall see just how long our building department will take to make this simple revision an approval. I need this to be approved very soon so my house can resume construction. I’ll keep you all posted on the status.
